In Northern Jutland, close to the North Sea and the nature preserve Vejlerne, SIC has produced foundations for 22 Siemens 3.2MW wind turbines.
They have replaced 37 older wind turbines, all of which have been dismantled, and the foundations broken up and reused as road material. The area is low-lying and the water is high, and therefore the groundwater had to be lowered at all wind turbines in connection with excavation. All the foundations also had to be established with piles. The work was completed on time in just 7 months over the winter. SIC also grouted all the wind turbines after completion of their erection.
