At the heart of Copenhagen at the harbour area called “Prøvestenen”, SIC was responsible for the erection of 3 2MW Vestas for the Copenhagen-based utility company HOFOR.

Foundations were placed in a large mound of earth, and therefore large retaining walls had to be erected using sheet piling. The foundations are gravity base foundations on piling and had to be established with consideration for the other activities at the harbour. Good cooperation between the builders and the harbour authorities helped ensure a compact time schedule with minimal impact on the area.
