With +30 years of experience in onshore wind civil works, we handle tree clearing, site preparation, roads, crane hardstands, foundations, and cable laying. Our expertise ensures efficient and reliable execution, supporting successful wind farm development across various terrains.
Tree clearing: Forest clearing in connection with the establishment of roads, crane sites, and sites for wind farms. The work is carried out by competent and locally based logging companies.
Site facilities: SIC establishes and manages site facilities according to customer requirements, including compounds, heating, and electricity at the site. Up to you if you prefer us to operate from individually owned compounds or shared facilities for contractors and suppliers, ensuring efficient project execution.
Roads & crane hardstand: Tailored to customer specifications we design and construct roads for transporting concrete and wind turbine components. Additionally, we provide solutions for crane foundations, enhancing the safe and effective handling of heavy materials on construction sites.
Foundations: SIC specializes in establishing various types of wind turbine foundations. We design solutions based on provided drawings or offer alternative foundation designs from scratch, aiming to optimize material usage.
Laying cables: In collaboration with our competent subcontractors, SIC lays cables and installs ducts for power cables and optical fibers, ensuring reliable connectivity for wind farms.
With SIC you get a partner specialized in gravity base foundations for wind turbines, offering both standard and customized solutions. Whether working from provided designs or optimizing them for better material efficiency, we ensure structurally sound and cost-effective foundations tailored to each project.
For projects on rocky terrain, SIC has extensive experience in rock-anchored foundations, including traditional bedrock-anchored solutions with line anchors. We also install RockAdapter foundations, ensuring stability and durability even in demanding ground conditions.
For projects in watery areas or with soft soil conditions, where traditional foundations are not feasible, SIC construct pile foundations. By driving or drilling piles deep into the ground, the structure is anchored to a stable layer, ensuring durability and load-bearing capacity.
